For school, most of us must get up around 6–7 a.m., but on weekends and holidays, we like to sleep in until 10 am–1 p.m.
Your alarm is going off. You open a sliver of your eyes and slam your hand in various locations, hoping to locate the stop button. The shape of your phone is detected by your fifth smack. The screen is found with your seventh smack, and the cacophony is ultimately silenced with your eighth smack. This “pattern” is followed by practically every human I know in the morning. What makes a significant difference is a time you wake up. Our wake-up times as teenagers vary depending on our circumstances.
What if I told you that you had to get up at 5 a.m.? If your initial thought is “He’s insane,” you’re like myself and all of my pals when we first heard of this practice.
Ways to Get Up at 5 A.M.
There are two methods for getting up early.
- Gradually postpone your morning wake-up time.
- Just get out of bed.
Option one is generally easier. Gradually push back your wake-up time to 5:00 a.m. Begin at 6:30 a.m. and gradually increase your wake-up time by 5–10 minutes each day.
Route two may necessitate a little more effort and it’ll take about a week to get used to the new wake-up hour.
Why Get Up at 5 A.M.?
- To gain Control
When you wake up at 5 a.m., you begin to feel as though your circumstances are in charge of your life. This is the most likely school for teenagers. When you have to wake up depends on when your lessons begin, transit time, and other factors. It gives you a sense of control over your day and life to get up at 5 a.m. This may seem insignificant, but it will have an impact on the remainder of your day. This sense of control will influence your choices, decisions, and how you make decisions.
- Me Time!
Is anyone else awake at 5 a.m.? Almost no one. One of the most significant advantages of getting up so early is this. Notifications aren’t available on your phone. Doing x, y, or z with your parents is a pain. You have more time now to do whatever you want. Whatever you want to do, whether it’s meditation, exercise, or job. You can do it alone and without interruptions.
- Organise Yourself
If you get up at 5 a.m. and work from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., you’ve already accomplished a great amount. You simply finished a section of your work while most folks are sleeping or just waking up as they used to. This small success, which came so early in the morning, will carry over into the remainder of the day. Now that you’ve had a productive morning, you’re going to keep it up for the remainder of the day.
- Follow the Rules
You must follow a few principles in order to get the most out of your 5 a.m. wake-up experience.
- Make sure you get enough rest.
Wake up at 5 a.m. does not imply going to bed at 3 a.m. and waking up at 5 a.m. To acquire the recommended amount of sleep, go to bed around 9–10 p.m.
- Maintain Consistency.
This is one of the largest I’m aware of. You must go to bed and wake up at the same hour every single day. Consistency may be the most important factor in getting adequate sleep and staying super-charged throughout the day.

Things to keep in mind!
